What a hedge witch actually does on a Tuesday
The hedge is not a costume. It is the strip of land between the road and the garden, between what is wild and what is washed. A hedge witch tends that strip.
On a Tuesday that might mean oiling a sticky door, putting rosemary in the soup, writing one true sentence in a notebook, and taking the compost out before it becomes a problem. If there is a candle, it is because the light is useful. If there is a charm, it is because the hands wanted something to do while the mind settled.
Folk spellcraft, as we practice it, is a way of marking care so it does not slip by unnoticed. Salt at the threshold is a reminder that you live here. A simmer pot is a reminder that the air can be kind. None of this replaces the unglamorous work of rest, medicine, or asking for help.
